Wedding Bells

No not for me, but for a friends daughter.  My photographic work had been seen by my friend Jenny on my facebook page and so she asked if I did weddings and would I be interested in being the photographer at her daughters wedding.  I had never taken wedding photos before so I jumped at the chance! Being my first wedding gig, I offered to be support photographer so I would get some experience and to test the waters.  Main photographer was Adrian Miles who also had a support photographer, so that meant 3 of us covering the day from all angles! So a lot of planning was done to ensure we all knew where we were meant to be at any point during the day. (oh did I mention no mobile phone signals at all on the day!)

Harriette

So early start for me, I have the big responsibility of following the bride!  but it's all good.  It starts at the hairdressers in Guildford where not only the bride, mum and brides sister were getting their hair done there, but also the 5 bridesmaids plus the normal busy Saturday morning clients.  Trying not to get in people's way was proving difficult!

The Venue

After all were done at the hairdressers, we all headed to the venue.
This is where Harriette and Jonathan went to school. The King Edwards School in Witley, Surrey,  a beautiful location with lots of arty things for a photographer to get lost in.

We had a couple of hours to spare and since I had not had been to the place before I thought I would familiarise myself with the grounds and where I am supposed to be throughout the day!

All went well and there was a bit of rain, but nothing to completely stop us taking photos. Below are some of the shots from the day.
